PodPay enables you to easily manage shared expenses over time. Whether it is splitting a check at a restaurant or sharing the cable bill with roommates, PodPay presents a new way of solving the classic problem of shared expenses.

In PodPay, you form a group of trusted individuals which we call a “Pod”. The Pod functions as its own independent “Social Commerce” entity. When you create a Pod, you not only are a member of the Pod, but also the Founder. As a Founder, you can name your Pod, create your own Pod currency, and then invite people to become members. Once the Pod has been created, all members can easily exchange the Pod currency amongst one another. The Pod currency can be tied to anything of common value to all members of the Pod, whether is be pretzels, marbles, or another currency.

As an example, roommates can use PodPay to create a Pod for the household. When a bill comes in, one of the members pays it, then adds that expense to the Pod as a new Exchange. The Exchange represents a debit incurred by one of the members. and translates to positive virtual currency that can then be spent within the Pod for future expenses incurred by other members.
